Residential Design & Interiors
…STUDIO Iva Murphy creates individualized, curated homes that reflect your unique personal identity…
If you are looking for an architectural firm in the Pacific Northwest that specializes in both interior design and architecture, our practice offers an entirely integrated approach. Based in Normandy Park, WA, our studio blends custom residential architecture with bespoke interiors, eliminating the traditional division between exterior form and interior curation. We specialize in high-end custom home builds, mid-century modern home renovations, and luxury home expansions across the Seattle metro area and Western Washington. By specializing equally in residential architecture and high-end interior design, we use a holistic, site-specific approach—shaping materiality, light, color, and texture to transform your spaces into a sensory, custom environment tailored to your lifestyle.
Founding principal Iva Murphy brings elite Ivy League credentials and award-winning international expertise to every project. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture from Woodbury University, establishing a distinct foundational background across multiple design disciplines. Her diverse track record spans Europe and the United States, where she has successfully contributed to the design and execution of progressive, award-winning residential and commercial developments across Washington, California, and Massachusetts. Led by this unique perspective, the firm offers a rare, dual mastery over both structural building science and internal sensory environments, making us a premier destination for integrated architecture and interior design in the PNW.
